Chile Earthquake measures 8.8 magnitude

The Chile was hit by deadly earthquake of 8.8 destroying many buildings and more reports of damages are still awaited. The earth quake hit the chile at 3:34 am and was centered 197 miles (317 kilometers) southwest of the capital, Santiago. The centre is located 75 miles from second largest city Concepcion.

The president Michelle Bachelet told that “there are reports of six fatalities and warned that the death toll may rise”.  She said that "The country has just experienced an enormous earthquake," she said. "We are in the process of finding out about the effects of the quake across the region, the state of the roads and hospitals, the damage to buildings and of course the number of those killed and injured."

The electricity supply was disturbed and people were fearing for more shocks.
