Maruti Cervo launched in India

Maruti  Suzuki will  launch a new small car named Maruti Cervo  near May 2010 for price Rs. 1.5 lac to Rs. 2.5 lac in India. Initially petrol engine variant of Maruti Cervo wil be launched. The pricing of Maruti Cervo is set low and less costlier looking towards middle income groups in India espcially the first time buyers of cars in India. Maruti Cervo is slightly costlier than Tata Nano the much touted People’s Car and it resembles in appearance to Honda Fit.


Maruto Cervo is already being mass produced in Japan and will soon be seen lighting up the Indian roads in the second quarter of 2010. Maruti Cervo is likely to be priced between 1.5-2 lakhs (ex showroom delhi price in India) and will be a good addition to other small vehicles like Maruti Alto, Wagon R and Maruti Zen.

Targeting the younger generation, Maruti Cervo can be best defined as sleek and stylish having the appearance of a small sports car.
